MillyMac Studio~"Always time for Tea" Tray Cloth Pattern & Kit
This kit has Liberty Fabrics and my own MillyMac Studio Designs pattern for you to make a lovely tea tray cloth for when you have tea with friends. Or you may like to use the kit to make some mug mats, a wall hanging, cushion or bag.
This is my second stitchery pattern which of course has a little story behind it...
Cups of tea with friends are an important part of my life that I really missed when we were in Covid-19 level 4 lockdown. I couldn't wait to get out and have a cuppa with my friend when we were finally allowed to. This design has been inspired by a dear friend of mine, Carla, who surprised me on my 50th Birthday with High Tea at Kina Beach. Carla had purchased a gorgeous tea set for two people and set it up while I sat there with my eyes closed. There was a pink frosted cake and cupcakes too!!
I tried to base the design on her teapot, however, it has Devon cottages and flowers on it so I ended up simplifying the design and using the Liberty "Tea for Two" Range as further inspiration.

- Pattern instructions for the tea tray cloth & stitchery design to trace
- Stitchery backing, whisper weft
- Liberty " Tea for Two" fabric selection to complete the project and some to spare for other projects
- DMC threads to match the "Tea for Two" Liberty Fabric
- Iron on pellon
Other requirements you will need:
- General sewing supplies
A useful item to trace the image is a wash-away pen, we stock the DMC Transfer pen which I used for this project.
