Trunk Show this weekend October 8, 2021 19:00

I am having a Trunk Show this weekend. Join me on Facebook Live at 7pm on Sunday to see firsthand all the new fabric ranges that have arrived this week.

We have unpacked lots of new fabric ranges and patterns so instead of adding them to the website each day I have decided to introduce you to them all at the same time.

Then you can take a good look and just pay for shipping once instead of multiple times. We will still haven't received all the ranges we were expecting, however these ranges are now ready to go live on the website...

  • Kathy Schmitz fabric, panel and patterns
  • French General "Jardin de Fleurs"
  • Stof melange
  • Stof "basically"range
  • Tilda "Windy Days"
  • just to mention a few!

Of course a trunk show wouldn't be complete without giveaways, so take a peek on Facebook this Sunday evening @7pm and you might win a goodie from one of our new ranges.

See you then, Mrs MillyMac

Mrs MillyMac's Favourites~ each weekend this month September 5, 2021 21:38

This month I will be having "Weekend Favourites" to share with you some of my favourite things in my office. Each collection I share will be discounted for the weekend.

This week my "Weekend Favourite" is a gorgeous range of fabric "Thatched" by Moda,- why do I like it so much? ... because the colours are vibrant & every time I look at them in our office they just make me feel great. A good combination of colour and textured thatched patterns.

Buy any fabric from this collection this weekend and receive 10% off automatically at checkout until Sunday 5 September

Level 3 lockdown Delivery Update September 2, 2021 18:45 1 Comment

By the end of this week I am hoping to have all the orders that were made during Level 4 lockdown processed and on their way to you. We also have a non contact pick up area here in Nelson for local people.

Please be patient as once the parcel leaves here we have no control over how long the delivery will take. We have been contacted by NZ Post and warned that there will be delays.

Delivery Price Increase~ I have tried to hold off a price increase for the courier cost however with NZ Post putting up their prices I have had to also increase the cost of courier satchels by 50c. That means that most people will pay $4 and that rural addresses will be $7.

It is still less than most coffee orders and when you think how many people handle your package and the trip it takes to your place then it is still quite cheap.

You are welcome to combine orders with friends if you are in a rural area to share the costs. Just let us know with plenty of warning if you would like to do this as there are a couple of us who process the orders.

Big thanks for all your support of our little online store,

We love sending you goodies!

Kim

It's Our 7th Birthday August 23, 2021 08:44

I

It is hard to believe that 7 years ago I did a Business Diploma and came up with the idea to start MillyMac Supplies. I was keen to try and start a business that I could do until I retired. For the first 4 years I also had a job so I had to juggle my time between that and my business. It is much better now that I can work full time just in MillyMac Supplies.

This week we are having a 7 day Flash Sale to celebrate our birthday, so check back each morning at 9am to see what that day's sale will be. The week will end with an online sale on Facebook Live on Sunday 29 August at 5pm.

"Destash"~ we now buy 2nd hand items from your stash July 31, 2020 12:46 2 Comments

"Destash"~To sell or trade your existing crafting supplies or 'stash'

We are now buying 2nd hand fabrics, patterns and general haberdashery. So, if you are wanting to clean out your stash to make room for new projects then please contact us.
I want to encourage recycling and re-use of craft items which we no longer need eg If you have finished a project you might like to sell the pattern and the leftover fabric bundle. Craft supplies can be expensive so this is a good way to offer patterns & fabric at a cheaper price so that someone else may benefit.

How about writing a note to someone... June 16, 2020 09:27 13 Comments

Hi there, If you who have received an order from me this year you might have got a wee hand written note. I just love stationary products and have been trying to use a different notepad each month,- until covid-19 happened and I couldn't go out and shop for them!

So, to solve that problem I have found a great supplier who has lots of gorgeous notepads. This means that I can now stock a selection for you to use too. Just go to our Giftware page on the website to see the current selection.

Who doesn't like receiving notes? Especially on nice notepaper with pictures. When I was growing up my mum used to write notes and put them in my lunchbox or leave them in the kitchen with a reminder to do something for her,- I think I was much happier to do things when she left me a note with a little bunny drawn on it because my nickname was "little rabbit" in Hungarian.

In our house when I go away, or my husband is away, we sometimes leave a little note tucked in the bed so when the person goes to bed alone they find a little "I love you" note,- even nicer if it has a chocolate bar with it!

I hope you enjoy the notepads,- some of the first collection have been inspired by designers we know in the quilting world, like William Morris. I will be adding a few new products to our Giftware page at the start of each month. So,- if you have any ideas of what you and your friends like please let me know,

happy note writing, Mrs MillyMac

You can choose the amount from the gift cards available on the website or contact us if you would like a custom gift card created. After you process the payment we will send you an email with an electronic gift card that you can then forward to your friend or family member.

We hope this helps make life a bit easier,

Stay Safe, Mrs MillyMac

Covid-19 Shutdown March 25, 2020 15:53

Hi everyone, this is to let you know that MillyMac Supplies is closing it's online delivery service while New Zealand is in shutdown. We are not classified as an essential service.

This will be at least for the next 4 weeks. However you are welcome to keep making orders so that you don't miss out on new stock. At checkout you will be able to select to pay by bank deposit after the shut down ends. Select the COVID-19 PAY BY BANK DEPOSIT at checkout.

This means that no money needs to change hands until we are ready to send courier parcels again. I hope this helps.

I am not sure whether new stock will be arriving into the warehouse, however I will be keeping everyone informed via newsletter and my Wednesday Facebook Lives at 4pm.

This is a difficult time for everyone and I am especially aware of that many of our customers are in the at risk age group. If you feel alone or need a chat via phone or facetime please contact me and I will make a time to catch up. You will be doing me a favour too as I am a people person so will be missing my friends and groups that I regularly attend.

Take care everyone and STAY HOME!!

much love and virtual hugs, Kim

aka "Mrs MillyMac"

Destash Challenge- time to sort your craft space? February 26, 2020 17:37

This year I am keen for our MillyMac Community to use the Destash Noticeboard on this website. It is a great opportunity to have a clean out of your craft space. You can either give it away for free to bless someone else, "Pass it On" or you can list it to sell for a small fee. Each listing stays on the website for a month. I have tried it out over the last month and was pleased to be able to give a great pattern away and sell some patterns.

Until the end of March I am running a Destash Challenge- just list something before the end of the month to get an extra entry on your Customer Club card.

Our MillyMac Customer Club members each have a loyalty card. This means that after 6 purchases they receive a discount of 10% of what they have spent (ex GST). So by taking part in this Destash Challenge you will be a step closer to receiving your next discount!

How to join the MillyMac Customer Club? Just sign up for our newsletters.

It is Free to list items to give away, so feel the buzz and have a go. Just message me through the website or Facebook with the details and I can get you set up.

Happy Destashing!

Introducing Marg Low Designs November 21, 2019 12:40 66 Comments

Introducing Marg Low Designs

Meet the Designers of Moda ~ Crystal Lake fabric October 19, 2019 12:53

Today I was cutting up some more fat quarters of the Moda Crystal lake fabric and I thought I would check out who designed it.

It is designed by two sisters, Polly and Laurie.Their brand is called Mimick & Simpson. They are both from Michigan, USA.

Inspiration for this fabric range is a lake in their State.

They say "Crystal Lake practically abuts the much larger Lake Michigan and it is well, just beautiful. Clear blue water and and an endless horizon shaped by golden dunes.  We hope you like how this beautiful part of our beloved Michigan inspired our new collection." Read the full blog from Laurie here >>

The blues and tans are inspired by this local lake that has sand dunes. We have some of their range including blue & tan stars and flowers.

Who loves Sweet Peas? June 15, 2019 11:19

I do! These flowers are my favourite flower. So much so that I named our cottage "Sweet Pea Cottage". We have 5 fabrics from the new Moda range "Sweet pea & Lily". Bright greens & pinks to cheer up a winter's day. Enjoy!

Willowbrook Market Garden range has arrived May 29, 2019 17:47

I have enjoyed receiving Australian designer, Natalie Bird's, debut fabric range this week.

It includes panels that have cute garden themed pictures or you can buy the stitchery panel and choose your own colours.

Some of the fabric has two colours of the same design on the same bolt. So when you get a 1/2 metre cut then you get 2 designs.

Hopefully soon we will have some patterns to go with the fabric.

French General Fabric for your projects February 14, 2019 15:13

Hi, we have been able to start a collection of French General fabrics, these will compliment our French General Stitchery patterns, take a look, hope you enjoy them, Happy Valentines Day, Mrs MillyMac
